This relatively small-scale remodel in the East Bay Hills transformed the home’s interior connectivity and light quality. Originally, the floors were separated by a dark, enclosed stairwell that limited natural light and disrupted flow. By removing partition walls, adding strategically placed windows, and inserting a sleek floating stair, we introduced abundant daylight and created a striking visual centerpiece. The new design enhances spatial openness and circulation, bringing a modern, airy feel to the home while respecting its existing character.
